1. Enter the OUHK Electronic Library at http://www.lib.ouhk.edu.hk .
2. Click "E-Journals & Databases".
3. Input "ProQuest" then click "Search".
4. Select one of the databases related to your field of study in the result list.
1. A menu bar is available at the top of every page of the databases. The default page is basic search.
2. Type in one or more words in the search box.
3. Click on "Select multiple databases" to change database selection.
4. Limit your search to a specific date range by selecting the date options.
5. Click "Search" to start searching.
1. Select Advanced in the menu.
2. Type in search term(s) in each search box. Users can click "Add a row" to use up to 7 search boxes.
3. Use the drop down menu beside the search box to specify search fields.
4. Select AND, OR, AND NOT, WITHIN 3, PRE/1 to combine / exclude search term(s).
5. Click "More Search Options" to further limit your search.
6. Click "Search" to start searching.

1. Select Topics in the menu.
2. Type a topic or subject in the search box, click "Find Term" to begin your search.
3. Click "View" to retrieve articles related to the topic.
4. Click "Narrow" to view an expanded list of sub-topics.

1. Select Publications in the menu.
2. Type the whole or part of publication title in the search box.
3. Click "Search" to start searching.
4. To browse the list of publications, click on the alphabet under the search box for a list of journal titles begins with that alphabet.

In Dissertations & Theses: A&I, you can browse the dissertations and theses by subject or location.
1. Select Browse in the menu.
2. Click By Subject or By Location to view the list of topics or countries. You can also click on an alphabet to view a list of topics or countries beginning with that alphabet.
3. Click a subject to view the sub-topics organized by countries and then by universities. Click "View document" to display dissertations and theses matching your research topic.
4. Click a location to view the sub-topics organized by universities and then by subject. Click "View document" to display dissertations and theses matching your research topic.
For ABI/INFORM (Dateline, Global, Trade & Industry), Accounting & Tax, and Criminal Justice Periodicals:
1. After a successful search, a numbered list of articles will be shown.

Click on the article title or
the "
Abstract"
link to read abstract or
bibliographic information of an article
3. Read article full text, if available:

Select the check boxes of the records to mark the records. All the marked records can be

For Dissertations & Theses: A&I :
1. Follow Step 1, 2 & 4 described above. Please note that full-text content is not available for this abstract database.
2. Click

to preview the first 24
pages of a dissertation or thesis, if available.

Click

use the print option of your browser to
print the article.

To
email article(s), click 
and
input
an email address.
Close the browser after you have finished your searching.
