Description :CancerNet was created by the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) International Cancer Information Center and Office of Cancer Communications. Updated monthly, CancerNet offers easy access to the most current information on cancer. All of the information located on CancerNet is continually reviewed and revised by oncology experts and is based on the latest research in the field. It was selected and organized into three areas: patients and the general public, health professionals, and basic researchers.
A variety of sources included in CancerNet are:
- Selected information from PDQR, NCI's comprehensive cancer database, including
summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, and supportive care, and
information on ongoing clinical trials;
- CANCERLITR, NCI's bibliographic database;
- And fact sheets, news, and other resources.
