Description :Gale Database of Publications and Broadcast Media (GDPBM) provides information on some 50,000 publications and some 12,000 radio and television stations and cable TV companies. This database contains the following four files: Gale Directory of Publications, Gale Directory of Broadcast Media, Directories in Print, and Newsletters in Print. Gale Directory of Publications (GDP) covers nearly 23,000 periodicals and newspapers published in the United States and Canada. Periodical coverage includes agricultural publications, ethnic publications, fraternal publications, college publications, religious publications, women's publications, magazines of general interest, and trade, technical, and professional publications. Newspaper coverage includes daily newspapers, paid community newspapers, free newspapers, and shopping guides. Gale Directory of Broadcast Media (GDBM) covers almost 12,000 radio stations, television stations, and cable television companies operating in the United States and Canada. Directories in Print (DIP) covers over 15,400 print and nonprint directories, buyer's guides, rosters, and other address lists of all kinds published worldwide. Newsletters in Print (NIP) covers more than 11,400 newsletters published in the United States and Canada. Coverage extends to subscription, membership, and free newsletters, bulletins, digests, updates, and similar serial publications that are available in print or nonprint formats.
